Master Burger is the premier fast food chain of the Vuurstahl Empire, though the franchise has spread throughout all of Tempestas. Its president, Grillmaster Aldebrand Hauer, was once a lowly Labor-class Steelworker before he stumbled upon his recipe for success on a swelteringly hot afternoon. On a day when he had no time to prepare a meal before leaving home, it’s said Aldebrand brought a piece of raw meat to work in desperation, and, during his lunch break, slapped it on a sizzling steel girder that had been left in the sun. The resulting meal, a hunk of meat charred on the outside and rare on the inside, was surprisingly delicious to the hungry Steelworker, and he pondered how to bring this meal to a wider audience. And so, preparing a presentation for the Board of Directors, he applied for reassignment to food service to pursue his new passion.
Surprisingly, the Board of Directors agreed, and his invention took off amongst the lower-class workers, the low cost of production keeping his fast-grilling burgers at an affordable price. It was only a matter of time before the then-Harrison-Meyer Steelworks took notice of his success, and Master Burger was bought out by HMS, the Grillmaster earning himself a seat on the Board of Directors. Now, Master Burger has a stranglehold over the fast food market, especially with the recent addition of a robot mascot, the Burgermeister, with an AI-driven replica featured at every location. Despite some rocky legal cases, Master Burger has continuously beaten the allegations that the mysterious bouts of foodsickness after visiting their restaurants have anything to do with their iconic burger.
