A subsidiary of IPS-N, the Downfall Group was formed in response to the rising needs for war machines during the War of Fire. Their designs broke away from the industrial tech their parent company specialized in, drawing inspiration from the more unconventional frames some of their competitors were known for. After the war, however, the Group overhauled their catalog, their previous frames being rebranded as part of their new Sinner line of pattern-groups. Around this same time, as rebellions began popping up around the Empire, a growing number of Downfall frames were found amongst their forces, prompting an investigation by the Empire’s enforcers. However, no connection between the dissidents and the Downfall Group was found, and when questioned on the seemingly pointed rebranding effort, its president merely said it was a matter of “personal taste.”
