Ironleaf Foundry (Vuurstahl)

From The Spiraling Nexus Wiki

Led by Leafshaper Eli Meir, Ironleaf Foundry is a subsidiary of Graves-Meyer Steelworks that specializes in unconventional solutions to conventional problems. IF engineers are dedicated to pushing the envelope; to them, there’s no such thing as a solved problem, just a stagnant field. Most of their designs are little more than hardsuits, a choice in the name of highlighting the inherent strength of humanity. Its flagship frame, the Rose, is named in honor of Eli’s wife, Rosespeaker Sapir Meir, and there’s rumors its next frame is being developed in honor of their wayward heir.

Ironleaf Foundry’s most noteworthy non-engineering endeavor is their work in conservation, Ironleaf-branded conservatories and public parks spotted throughout the Vuurstahl Empire. Much of Vuurstahl’s remaining biodiversity is due to their efforts, though their work has won them no favors with their fellows on the Board, who see them as a waste of land and resources. Still, there has been no motion to take action against them, as to do so would draw the ire of the public that can appreciate having a place, however small, to enjoy nature in Vuurstahl.

Ironleaf Foundry is one of the younger subsidiaries of GMS, its origins traced directly to Eli’s father, the previous Leafshaper, who earned the family its title. As such, it is a matter of embarrassment that, thanks to their daughter’s actions, the Leafshaper title is in jeopardy after a mere two generations.
