General Edith Hofmeister, the Linebreaker, is the commander of the entire Imperial Militia. Inheriting her position from her predecessor, who was forced to resign following the War of Fire, Edith made it her goal to bring discipline back to the armed forces, and to rekindle the waning morale that the Mond de Tod had inflicted. Under her guiding hand, the militia has risen to what she considers its former greatness, though to her, her job is never finished, and she often pays visits to training sessions to ensure each unit is performing to their full potential.
General Hofmeister is a well-known and outspoken Expansionist, and her belief in the Empire’s divine right to rule is what drives her as General of the Imperial Militia. Though this has earned her many a detractor, rising Expansionist cells in the Empire have slowly improved her reputation among the masses.
