The reclusive cousin of Junkmonger Sven, Scrapmonger Merel Denzel is rarely seen outside of Sven’s Bargain Barters, where she works part-time, something Sven attributes to her poor health. Due to that, she is never seen without her gas mask on, a preventative measure against the smog-choked air of Stahlern. Though Merel is soft-spoken and struggles with strangers, she is known to push herself in her work, in spite of, or perhaps to spite her frail constitution, and she is quick to anger if she feels someone is taking pity on her.[1]
