Scrapseeker Amber Holt is a scavenger under Junkmonger Sven’s hire, though her boss repeatedly tries to rebrand her job as a “salvager”. There is no love lost between her and her swindler of a boss[1], and she regularly has to negotiate for fair pay for her finds, largely due to hazardous working conditions. Despite this, there’s nowhere else she would rather work, as for all of Sven’s greed, he’s at least an employer who gives no care as to who his employees are so long as they do their work. Lately she has taken a shine to Scrapmonger Merel, who has started to work alongside her in salvage. She considers herself a mentor to the girl, an unfamiliar feeling to her, and she’s found she enjoys it.
