I'm a war hero, you know? And now what do they have me doing? Babysitting the Overseer who couldn't even do her job right, while kids like you get all the Mord und Totschlag! There's no justice to it, I say!

—Bismarck[1]

The eldest Schrotter, and thanks to a strange set of recessive genes, the tallest by a large margin, Scaleripper Bismarck Schrotter has been a proud Military-class soldier for all of his life. He has a reputation for being loud and abrasive, something that has grown worse with age, as he’s been retired from mech service due to the warning signs of augment rejection beginning to show. Instead, he’s been assigned as a transport pilot, something much less strenuous on his body, but which has robbed the glory-seeking Scaleripper of the ability to demonstrate the skills he took so much pride in.

Bismarck’s relationship with his family, already strained by his toxic behavior, was rent asunder in the wake of his sister Sieghild’s trial. Bismarck, a staunch believer in Imperial might, saw the death of an engineer on the GMS payroll, regardless of reason, as an attack on everything he stood for. Once the dust of her trial settled, Bismarck immediately laid into his younger sister, berating her as a traitor to her homeland and her family until a furious Hieronymous pulled them apart. Their usually forgiving younger brother proclaiming the outburst his last straw shocked the normally-stubborn Bismarck into backing down, though the relationship between the siblings would never recover in the aftermath– just another chip laid on the ornery Scaleripper’s heavy shoulders.
