Think nothing of it. I am but a humble servant of Kairaishi. It is my duty to guide the lost, as He has guided me.

—Kazumi [1]

One of Ayatsuri’s Divine Hands[2], Kazumi Aikawa is considered the black sheep of them. Born blind, some of the more conservative view his condition as a punishment from Kairaishi for a sin projected in his future. Despite this, he is an unwaveringly fervent worshipper of Kairaishi, and many of the messages he has interpreted from his god have been well-received by the people of Ayatsuri, full of compassion as they are. In spite of his condition, he walks without a cane or other assistive device, depending on what he claims to be Kairaishi’s guidance to lead him where to go.[3] Though he does not always wind up where he should be, something of great consternation to both the other Hands and his guards, he simply says that he always winds up where he needs to be.
