A Barrian by birth, Timekeeper Lucia Page became a refugee before the Mond was fired when her hometown was decimated by the 9th Company.[2] When she came of age, she was assigned as Service-class; specifically, she was chosen as the assistant to the recently-employed Scraptinker after a string of late meetings and missed deadlines resulted in the need for a responsible assistant to keep the wayward engineer on track. Though Lucia is often curt in her interactions with Stella on account of her relationship with the Shieldbreaker, who led the attack on her home, her skill as an assistant is well-known; the Scraptinker has never missed a meeting since the Timekeeper became responsible for her. This is in part because of her augments, a computer embedded in the base of her skull that has made Lucia adept at quickly storing and processing all kinds of information.[3]

Unbeknownst to most in the Empire, Lucia has been training in Barrian magic under the tutelage of the legendary wizard Faustina Salvius, in an attempt to preserve her bond to her homeland.[4]

  1. "Saoirse?" Alruna echoes, before gears start whirring rapidly in her mind. "She-- your mother isn't the Chainbreaker, is she?"
Lucia nods. "...Keep it a secret. I'm already under suspicion as an alchemist's daughter; if they knew I was the daughter of a rebel, too..."
  2. Lucia shakes her head. "They were dead before the Mond even fired," she says, gaze fixed on the hand in her own. "It was the 9th Company and their Enkidu. I watched its talons tear Papa and Aina apart before my eyes. Only I managed to escape." (Shore Leave 2, 1/18/2024)
  3. Jun considers this a moment, stepping slightly out of Fia's personal space. "...Shame. Perhaps I could ask... I have heard of people with computers incorporated into their heads as part of their modifications. The combination seems as if it would be helpful."
"Oh yeah, isn't Stella's assistant like that? Her head's all full of dates and numbers and junk." (Shore Leave 1, 12/21/2023)
  4. "...I suppose the only thing I can't fault [Faustina] for is her skill as a mage," Lucia begrudgingly admits, pinching the bridge of her nose. "My lessons with her are supposed to be a secret. Maybe I should have made her take that damned arcane vow she proposed." (Shore Leave 4, 1/12/2025)
