Taranis Banes was once the Steelmolder before he helmed the project that would change his life: the Mond de Tod. Taranis, a single-minded Armory engineer from Fotia who thought only of the advancements in science and engineering his work would accomplish, never questioned the reason for the weapon he pioneered. To him, it was just another project, not the weapon that would change the face of warfare. It was not until the Mond was fired that the scientist realized what his creation could do. Taranis, the newly-christened Worldkiller, was now the most wanted man on Tempestas, yet when they went to arrest him, he had vanished without a trace. Even now, the amoral scientist’s whereabouts are unknown, with the reward for his capture growing annually.
Besides the Mond, Taranis is known for the invention of numerous other ethically-dubious Armory projects, such as the Enkidu and the original Genghis model that now bears his title.
